Aloha everyone,

My name is Karen Brose. I was born in Idaho and spent most of my life there up to the age of 23. I grew up in a small town enjoying life when it was simpler. I remember playing school, watching water skippers in our ditch, riding our bikes...life seems so complicated now. Kids playing video games, computer games, everyone wanting Beyblades or Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I was happy with my hula hoop and my Barbies and Easy Bake Oven...oh well enough of that. Anyway, I graduated high school, studied and performed in the theater in college, worked as a bookkeeper for a while, then decided I wanted something more in my life.

My best friend and I joined the Army at the age of 24. I stayed in, she got out after a few years. It has truly been an experience. I served 3 tours in Korea, 1 in Augsburg, Germany and have been stationed at DLI in Monterey, CA, Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, Texas, Ft. Meade, Maryland, Ft. Carson, Colorado, Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, and my current assignment with the 115th MI Group in Hawaii. I am a Sergeant First Class and have been in for 16 years. I am an intelligence analyst and platoon sergeant for about 40 soldiers. I am a wife to a wonderful man who supports everything I do. We have two handsome boys, Dusty (age 5) and Jack (age 3) who keep me very busy. We also have a Rottweiler named Leilee who is almost 2 years old. In my spare time (that would be almost non-existant), I love to read, scrapbook, and update my family web page.

I'm currently enrolled in eArmyU and working to get a certificate in Web Master and then an Associates in Computer Technology through Rio Salado College.
